SCS Logistics gives a penny a pallet to improve quality of life for cancer patients

SCS Logistics has launched a new initiative to raise money for its community charity Cancer Care. The Heysham-based logistics specialist is donating 1p for every pallet it moves, payable each month.

MD Sandra Cottam-Shea says this is a very effective way for the company and its customers to contribute to making life better for local cancer sufferers every day. “We handle thousands of pallets for our customers and we donate a penny whether we collect the pallet or deliver it. At the moment, our donation is sufficient each month to pay for a specialist therapist to work with a cancer patient. We hope this makes a significant difference to someone’s quality of life.”
