Bedfordshire-based News Transport, recent winner of a TPN Business Development Award, is celebrating its 50th year of trading. The company plans to add commemorative anniversary livery to its vehicles and will host a summer barbecue for current and former staff.
Still a family firm, News began as a courier in the automotive sector and has grown into a haulage and warehousing specialist with pick and pack and export preparation facilities. It joined TPN in 2014 and says the benefits of its membership are apparent to the company and its customers.
MD Ken Footitt says: “The TPN service is second to none. As an ISO 9001-accredited firm, delivery on our promise of quality-assured transport is vital. TPN never fails to support and uphold the high standard our customers demand.â€
He says the company’s continued growth and high customer retention rate is largely due to strong service and support News Transport receives from the TPN Hub and its 100+ other Members. “The future looks bright for News Transport and that’s in no small part due to our partnership with TPN. Here’s to another 50 years!â€
