TPN Members have become first partners of choice for Eddie Stobart Logistics, and have been collaborating on the implementation of major contracts they could not have accessed alone.
“We have always helped our Members to win and offer great service to new clients and this is a natural extension of our mission to create a network which is conducive to Members’ growth and prosperity,” says TPN MD Mark Duggan. “Joining the Eddie Stobart Logistics (ESL) family has allowed us to open all kinds of doors for TPN Members – doors that lead to better customers, better quality work and the opportunities to develop new services or move into new sectors.”
Duggan says the key ingredient in all of this is mutual benefit. “As a network, we have never imposed freight or clients on our Members, or run central accounts, and we never will. This is about giving them the opportunity, as regional distribution experts, to work alongside a major national logistics player, if they want to. We have guiding principles which say that every job has to work in the best interests of the Member, the network, ESL and, of course, the customer.”
The TPN liveried vehicles pictured belong to Preston-based FDC Holdings, and they are pulling ESL trailers having picked up from ESL’s Warrington base. FDC has taken five of the new vehicles.
“We are already THE Pallet Network,” says Duggan. “We have excellent service levels, and are sector-leading in every important way. But now we are more than a pallet network. We are building a new type of logistics based on trust, mutual benefit and a shared culture of excellence.”
TPN will continue to develop its list of extended Member benefits over the coming months.
